6 Must See Things at the Emirates Stadium

The Emirates Stadium is one of the greatest football arenas on the planet and is the current home of Arsenal Football Club. Although Highbury will forever be recognised as Arsenal's original home, they have enjoyed plenty of success since moving to their impressive 60,432 seater stadium. Since moving to the Emirates at the beginning of the 2006-07 Premier League season, the Gunners have sparkled and are beginning to show signs that they could challenge for the title. However, the football isn't the only attraction on show at the stadium. There are plenty of other events to keep you both occupied and entertained on your trip to one of the best football grounds in the country. Here are some of the must see things in and around the Emirates Stadium. Emirates Stadium - Arsenal

The Emirates Stadium Tour

Although the tour is closed on a matchday, you should definitely consider the Emirates Stadium trip if you have enough time on the day prior to the big game. You have a variety of choices on the Emirates tour. You can do the self-guided audio tour with a headset or you can upgrade to the Arsenal Legends tour. With this option, you will be escorted around the ground with a former player and you'll have the opportunity to speak to them directly about their past career, as well as information regarding the stadium. With the chance to choose your own legend, it truly is the perfect present for any Arsenal fan. Depending on their era, you can choose from the likes of Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Perry Groves and Charlie George to conduct your tour. Furthermore, you can also experience Arsenal's extraordinary history in the museum at the end of the tour. But we'll get to that later...

The Arsenal Armoury

Okay, so you have your tickets to watch Arsenal but now you want to purchase a jersey before the big game. Not a problem, the Arsenal Armoury is the official club shop and they have a plethora of stock and items across their huge shop floor. It does get incredibly busy on a matchday so we would advise you to get yourself down to the shop early to ensure that you avoid large queues. However, it's well worth a visit - even if you cannot get there very early. The sheer amount of items on offer will appeal to any Gunners fan and you will see plenty of other tourists buying plenty of merchandise for themselves, friends and family members. For huge Arsenal fans, this is all part of the matchday experience. It certainly gives you a unique opportunity to converse with other Arsenal fans about the match and chances of success throughout the season. The Arsenal Armoury - Club Shop

Enjoy a pint in The Gunners pub

On a matchday, there are plenty of pubs in the surrounding area that are dedicated directly to Arsenal's fan base. The Gunners pub is, as suggested by the name, Arsenal through and through and you won't find any away fans in the vicinity. With a truly brilliant atmosphere, The Gunners is the place to be and you can fully relax with a few drinks before heading to the stadium. Furthermore, the drinks prices are a lot cheaper than inside the actual ground so many fans choose to enjoy a number of beverages inside the pub before entering the Emirates. Either way, this is an absolute must for any Arsenal fan - as long as you're over 18 years old! The Gunners Pub

Watch the mighty Arsenal in style

No matter where you sit in the Emirates Stadium, you will be treated to an absolutely breathtaking view of Arsenal's hallowed playing surface. The Gunners pride themselves on playing free-flowing football and have produced immense performances in front of their home crowd on a regular basis throughout the past few years. Arsene Wenger never settles for mediocrity and his side will always try to ensure that the fans get their money's worth. While that isn't always plausible, it's certainly worth getting yourself down to the Emirates for one of Arsenal's upcoming home games and you too could see the Gunners in full flight as they seek to win their first Premier League title since 2004. In fact, you could upgrade to the hospitality section of the ground if you'd like to surprise your nearest and dearest. Over the course of the season, the hospitality suites are buzzing with business people, birthday parties and other large groups. It creates a brilliant atmosphere. With a lovely meal and additional comfort in the seating area, it only makes sense to take advantage of their hospitality and pay that little bit extra for the ultimate matchday experience.
